Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Kamiigo guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Entebbe and its peaceful surroundings, or simply relax at your hotel, preparing for the thrilling journey ahead.

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of the most biodiverse rainforests in the world, and home to roughly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The journey takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing local villages and lush landscapes. The drive to Bwindi offers excellent opportunities to enjoy the rural beauty of Uganda.
Upon arrival at your lodge near the park, check in and relax. The evening is free for you to unwind before the exciting trek the next day. Enjoy dinner at the lodge, followed by a restful night in preparation for your first day of gorilla trekking.
The highlight of your 4-day safari, today you’ll embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing on safety guidelines and trekking procedures. Once ready, you’ll head into the dense forest alongside experienced guides and rangers, tracking the gorillas.
Gorilla trekking can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla group, but once you find the gorillas, you’ll spend an hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching the gorillas interact, play, and feed is a humbling and awe-inspiring experience, giving you a rare glimpse into the life of these magnificent creatures.
Once your time with the gorillas is complete, you’ll return to your lodge, where you can relax and reflect on this incredible encounter. The evening is free for leisure activities, including an optional village visit or a guided nature walk through the area.
After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Entebbe. Along the way, enjoy the stunning scenery and countryside that Uganda has to offer. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time to stop for a brief sightseeing tour in Entebbe, or visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Center.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your 4-day gorilla trekking adventure with Kamiigo Tours & Travel.
